DKB Hires Modesti, Energy Industry Veteran, as New Executive VP

ROCHESTER, NY, September 7, 2021 – DKB, a leading regional business advisory and CPA firm, has hired Christian “Chris” Modesti for the newly created position of Executive Vice President. He will oversee DKB’s operations, administration, and strategy and growth.

DeJoy cites Modesti’s multiyear relationship with DKB. “As a leader and financial professional at numerous energy companies, Chris has called on DKB multiple times to fulfill crucial functions. He’s trusted us to assist at key points in his companies’ growth – and now we’re trusting him to help guide us through this important phase in DKB’s evolution.”

Modesti’s expertise includes corporate finance, operations, accounting, strategic planning, risk management, distribution, logistics, acquisitions, auditing, human relations, and customer service. He has served as President and CFO of BioMaxx Inc.; CFO and VP of Finance at Griffith Energy Inc.; VP of Business Development at Superior Plus Energy Services; and CFO at Energetix, then a subsidiary of Rochester Gas & Electric.

In addition to his professional roles, Modesti is active in community organizations. He serves as Board Chairman at the Summit Federal Credit Union, where he is also a member of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee. At Highland Hospital, where he is a former board member, he currently sits on the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Executive Committee. In addition, Modesti is a current board member at BioMaxx Inc., and a trustee of the University of Rochester Newman Interfaith Chapel. Previously, he served as Board Director and President of the Rochester chapter of Financial Executives International.

Modesti holds an MBA from the Simon Business School at the University of Rochester, and a Bachelor of Science from Cornell University. He received the Rochester Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 award in 2002, and was a finalist in RBJ’s 2010 Financial Executive of the Year program.

He lives in Geneva, NY, with his wife, Lisa. They have three sons.
