Tax in Ten: Individual Rebates & Unemployment Complications Under the CARES Act

Tune in to hear from Morgan Hopkins, Steve Wuest and Kevin Woodworth on Unemployment Provisions and Individual Rebates under the CARES Act.   One of the hot topics, how do employers get employees to come back to work, which is part of the requirement for the Paycheck Protection Program Loan, when for some employees it may be better to be on unemployment?  There are also expanded allowable reasons to collect unemployment.  It will be interesting to see provisions that may need to be made to the paycheck protection program forgiveness rules.  Will employers have to prove they offered employees their job back, and they chose not to take it?  Time will tell.
