- Where are you from and where did you go to college?
I was born and raised in Pittsford, NY, and I am a student at Boston University. - What was the deciding factor or influence in your life that moved you in the direction to choose accounting as your major?
My high school offered an accounting course which quickly turned out to be my favorite class. Accounting was one of those subjects that clicked for me and was enjoyable rather than another class you go to because you have to. - What is something someone would be surprised to learn about you?
People would be surprised to learn that I am allergic to mangoes. Although delicious, they would give me a quick trip to the ER. - What do you like to do outside of work? Hobbies, creative ventures?
I am passionate about weightlifting. It’s something I’ve been doing consistently for the past 3-5 years and helps to alleviate stress! Outside of weightlifting, I love to play ultimate Frisbee or run in my free time. - What are you hoping to learn more about as you begin your accounting career?
I am hoping to learn more about how other departments like audit or tax function. While I have a general understanding from classes, it’s exciting to see how things operate in a setting like DKB. - What things have you learned about our firm or about the accounting profession that intrigues you since you came on board or had an interest in prior to joining our firm?
I’ve noticed that DKB has a great community. Members of the team are collaborative, open to conversation, and ready to help whenever you have any questions.
