Mollene is a partner in DKB’s Financial Assurance Practice.  She mainly focuses on providing assurance, consulting, and financial reporting services to organizations operating in the financial services industry including broker-dealers and registered investment advisors.   More specifically she has complex expertise surrounding Service Organization Control (SOC) engagements, SEC regulatory compliance, business combinations and employee benefit plans.

Mollene’s broad background, going from an international public accounting firm to a regional accounting firm, gives her diverse knowledge of both public and private businesses, operating in a variety of industries.  She has thorough knowledge of the interworking of a company, outside of their financial environment, allowing her to consult on a variety of issues that may be at the forefront of how business decisions are made.    Due to her expertise, client service and leadership skills Mollene was awarded the Forty Under 40 award from the Rochester Business Journal, and has been named a Women to Watch by the Democrat & Chronicle.

Mike is a leader in the firm’s real estate industry group, which includes real estate transaction structuring and planning. Mike also leads DKB’s tax department technical proficiency initiative and assists in developing tax department policy and procedure.

Throughout his 18-year career with DKB, Mike has provided clients with business and personal tax planning and compliance services, multi-state tax reporting, NYS Empire Zone and Excelsior credit analysis and reporting, tax accounting method consulting, strategic tax analysis, business entity selection and tax structuring, and business consulting and succession planning. He draws on a broad base of expertise to serve clients in manufacturing, wholesale, distribution, technology, professional services and health care. Mike also has experience with financial and investment institutions and resort facilities.

A graduate of the State University of New York at Brockport, Mike holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. He remains actively involved in alumni and recruiting initiatives at SUNY Brockport.  Mike is also a Finance Committee Member at Trillum Health.

Tim has a diverse background in business, and is a uniquely versatile professional.  Before joining DKB, he worked for more than 15 years with an international commercial bank and brokerage firm. He also spent three years with the audit division of an international accounting firm.  This background give him the ability to advise on investment and wealth planning strategies for his not-for-profit clients.
