Title: Accounting Services - Experienced Accountant
Full - Time, exempt role for our accounting services practice
Reports To: Director of Accounting Services 

The Accounting Services Senior Accountant is responsible for the understanding and review of financial statements and delivering a variety of accounting services for our middle market client base. This position is client facing and requires interaction with all levels of the client service engagement team and must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of management. In addition, the senior is expected to manage various projects with minimal supervision and meet expected deadlines.

The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting skills and desires a robust career path as a client service professional in a growing niche practice. The Accounting Services Group at our firm has limited travel requirements (within a 75 mile radius) and generally will work a 40-45 work week with minimal overtime required.

Primary Responsibilities to be performed with or without reasonable accommodations include, but are not limited to:

• Maintain the financial reporting deliverable materials and general ledger for each client engagement; ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded and updated in the general ledger

• Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close and financial information reporting

• Resolve irregularities that occur to ensure the financial statements are in compliance

• Prepare closing journal entries, bank reconciliations and account analysis

• Review work of associates to ensure the consistent quality of deliverables to management and clients

• Provide excellent client service; partner with clients and their organization's mission to better serve their financial needs

• Communicate status of client engagements to Accounting Services partner

• Work collaboratively and coordinate with others to meet deadlines and deliverables

• Must have highly dependable transportation to travel to client locations, (travel expenses will be reimbursed)

• Availability to work overtime, as required

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting or equivalent degree that qualifies for the CPA or CMA path

• 3 or more years of moderate to complex accounting and financial statement preparation experience

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Excellent project management skills; able to manage multiple engagements or requests, and prioritize tight deadlines

• Excellent written and communication skills

• Possess strong analytical skills and have a solid business knowledge as it relates to operations and procedures

• Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word; along with QuickBooks expertise / or certification required
