David's entrepreneurial approach to public accounting has allowed DeJoy, Knauf & Blood, LLP to forge a practice which efficiently responds to client needs. He has significant experience with clients in the manufacturing, health care, construction, retail and service industries. His experience includes eight years in the audit division of an international accounting firm. David directs the firm's Information Technology practice. The practice focuses primarily on assisting clients in automating their financial accounting systems. David is currently a member of the American Institute of CPA's, the New York State Society of CPA's and the Healthcare Financial Management Association. He is also involved in many civic activities.
Edward Knauf Throughout his career in public accounting, Ed has built his reputation as a trusted business advisor and outstanding technician. Ed heads up the firm's Audit and Accounting Practice as well as the Not-for-Profit Industry Team. He has extensive experience serving clients in the manufacturing, health care and technology industries. Prior to forming DeJoy Knauf & Blood, LLP, Ed had over nine years of experience serving as an Audit Manager with an international accounting firm, and as a chief financial officer in private industry. Ed is a member of the American Institute of CPA's and the AICPA Private Companies Practice Section. He is actively involved with a number of civic and community organizations. Ed holds the credential "Accredited in Business Valuation" (ABV), awarded by the American Institute of CPA's.
Mark Blood Mark and his partners formed DeJoy, Knauf & Blood, LLP in 1990 with the objective of providing the highest level of tax planning and compliance services to their clients at reasonable fees. Mark has significant experience serving clients in the healthcare, manufacturing, construction, retail and service industries, providing a wide range of tax planning and compliance services. His experience includes eight years in the tax division of an international accounting firm and a local firm in Utica, New York. Mark is a member of the American Institute of CPA's and the New York Society of CPA's. He is involved in many civic activities, including serving on the board of directors of the American Heart Association and is a member of Rochester Rotary.
Dennis began his career with DeJoy, Knauf & Blood, LLP in 1994 after eight years of experience with an international accounting firm. He has served the tax planning and compliance needs of clients in professional services organizations, privately held business owners and corporate executives. He has extensive experience in qualified retirement plan consultation, estate and gift tax planning, and compensation and benefits consultation. Dennis is a member of the Personal Financial Planning Section of the American Institute of CPA's and of the New York State Society of CPA's. Active in the community Dennis currently serves on the board of the Webster High School Athletics Committee.
Tim's role as Partner in the Personal Financial Planning practice is to provide financial planning and investment advisory services to the firm's clients. Tim has been awarded the Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) designation by the AICPA. As a PFS, Tim has demonstrated expertise in all of the major areas of financial planning: personal income tax planning, risk management and insurance planning, investment planning, retirement planning and estate planning. Tim's background includes three years with the audit division of an international accounting firm and fifteen years with an international commercial bank and brokerage firm. Tim is a member of the American Institute of CPA's and the New York State Society of CPA's. He is involved in many civic duties including serving on the Board of Directors of the Memorial Art Gallery and the Catholic Family Center.
Susan is primarily responsible for providing financial assurance and advisory services to our business clientele, with particular emphasis on meeting the audit, accounting and tax needs of our larger clients. Prior to joining DeJoy, Knauf & Blood, LLP in 2001, Susan had nine years of experience within private industry, with responsibility for all financial reporting for a large segment of an international conglomerate. Previously, she was a Senior Audit Manager with an international accounting firm. Susan is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, and is actively involved with several community organizations.
Mike Cooke Mike is primarily responsible for providing comprehensive tax planning and compliance services to our business clientele, which frequently includes financial assurance services. Mike integrates tax planning and compliance services for business owners and key employees. Mike is a member of the American Institute of CPA's and the New York Society of CPA's .
Amy Mialki Amy joined DeJoy, Knauf and Blood, LLP in 1999 after leaving a regional real estate investment company where she served as a senior accountant. Amy has experience in essentially all practice areas of the firm, including business and personal tax planning and compliance, financial assurance and advisory services, business consulting, and personal financial and estate planning. Amy has served clients in a variety of industries including manufacturing, health care, construction and retail. Amy also has experience with restaurant and resort facilities. She has provided business clients with a broad spectrum of services including budgeting, financial forecasting and comprehensive tax planning. Amy is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.
